Drywall Supply, in Loveland, delivering 4x12 sheetrock up to the gate. The road on up to the house was snow packed, so my neighbor Andrew lent me a hand and we hauled all this on up to the house with his 4wd pickup and trailer.

Robbie, w/ All Star Gas in Loveland, setting the 500gal propane tank.

Built my own pre-hung door units using 4-panel knotty pine door slabs, and for the frames, used #3 pine 1x4's.

With all the snow on the ground, I hired a couple of the stucco guys to help hang drywall. Time to install interior doors. Going with a sheetrock-wrapped door frame.

Working on the stucco after FOUR snow storms.

The front porch ready for decking and metal corrugated roofing.

Stucco was finished the last week of January. (behind the house, in the centre of this photo, you can see the 85ft tower ready for the wind turbine.)

I can screw up things real good! Ha! Here I am screwing down 1000+ sqft of underlayment before tile.

FEB 11th - Craig, Nate, Kraig, and myself start the solar & wind power install. This array will hold 9ea KYOCERA 175watt panels attached to a WATTSUN single-axis tracker.

Wiring the solar array.

My folks came out to visit for a week the last part of Feb, so I put my Dad to work helping wire the wind turbine. (to see a good photo of the WHISPER 100 turbine atop the tower, go to the "UPDATES" page.)

The turbine tower 30ftt above 50ft tall pine trees.

Wind turbine controller (left) and the solar array charge controller/inverter (right) feeding the battery bank.

24volt battery bank (each battery - 6v/419Ahr) When the batteries reach a certain voltage, they produce hydrogen gas which is HIGHLY explosive! A vent fan install at the top of the battery bank room comes on to exhaust the gas outside.

Wiring the AC panel.

Textured every inch of the house by hand using a skip-trowel method. (i'll NEVER do that again!)

Was going to paint with a roller and brush, bought a sprayer and will never use a roller again!

Installing the front porch decking while Mahi takes a break.

Making a mess with the tile saw.

Uncle Steve helping out with most of the tile detail.

Built my own Knotty Alder cabinets.

Cabinets are installed, time now for LOTS of grout! Here I'm grouting the woodburning stove area. (note: Life is too short for grouting!!)

I maybe off-grid... but still connected to the world via satellite w/ Direct TV (left) & WildBlue internet (right).

Staining interior doors.

Installing Formica counter tops.

Grouting the kitchen backsplash. Cut 12 x 12 slate tiles into 6 x 6's and tossed in a few deco tiles.

Todd w/ Elite Flooring carpeting the bedrooms. Used a P.E.T. type carpet. (CLICK this photo and goto a website with more info on P.E.T. carpet.)
